Who doesn’t like the feeling of being in the air and looking down as if you’re flying?
Here in Miami, we’re so lucky to have a great spot on our doorstep to practice and learn this exhilarating sport, become a wind addict – I promise you won’t regret it! Like any sport in which you interact with the environment, kiteboarding will make you feel healthier and happier.
Learning how to kitesurf was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, the benefits of kiteboarding are dynamic and varied, this sport offers a phenomenal exercise for your body and mind.
Here is a short list of the benefits of Kiteboarding:
Tones the body
Kiteboarding will give you a full body workout especially the upper area, arms and abdomen every time you launch your kite. The core, arms, and legs are all engaged as you kite over the water You increase the strength in your arms by holding, the kite in legs by bending over the board to ride.
Gain physical strength
Kitesurfing combines aerobics and resistance exercises perfect to keep your heart healthy.
Kiteboarding is fun and addictive, once you feel the pull of the kite, you will be hooked and Endorphins will start to flow. -The Endorphins are the neurotransmitters that create a natural high and can even act as a pain-killer-
You can’t deny that the he combination of wind and water is relaxing plus you get to experience the feeling of being in the air and looking down as if you’re flying. For me every time I practice Kiteboarding, I can burn off my extra energy in a relaxed session and that gives me a great feeling of wellness.
Immune system boost.
Calm waters, perfect wind and a sport that combines aerobics and resistance exercises, I guarantee that this will boost endorphins and your immune system reducing your stress level.
Improves balance and coordination
This is one of my favorite benefits of Kiteboarding, when you’re riding your kite you are focusing on several tasks at once and you must keep the kite in the air with one hand while you enter the water grabbing the board with the other hand, keeping your balance on the board. Your whole body and mind are focused when you’re riding your kite.
Last but not least you will burn calories with this incredible sport!
You’re performing a full workout with a mix of aerobic and resistance exercises, controlling your kite in wind speeds of 12 – 15 knots. Of course, you will be burning calories and building muscle.
In addition of the amazing feeling of flying ad enjoying and amazing outdoor activity you’ll get healthier and happier when you start to practice Kiteboarding.
